# ABCD and Three-Drive Forex Pattern

Let’s start the lesson about Harmonic Price Pattern with the simplest type and become the basis for us to learn the other types, namely ABCD Pattern. To be able to study this indicator, the thing we need to know first is about Fibonacci indicators.
ABCD Pattern consists of leg AB and foot CD with BC is a correction or retracement line. ABCD Pattern also has two types, namely Bearish ABCD Pattern and Bullish ABCD Pattern.
If we use the Fibonacci line at foot AB then the correction line BC will definitely reach 0.618 levels. And the CD line is 1,272 levels as an extension (continued) BC line.
It’s easy, the thing we need to do is form this pattern and wait for point D to form before deciding whether to open a Short or Long position.
Following are the rules regarding ABCD Pattern that we can make reference in Forex Trading:
1. The length of the leg AB must be the same as the length of the foot of the CD
2. The time needed by the price to move along the foot of the AB must be equal to the time needed to move along the foot of the CD
Three-Drive Pattern is actually the pattern is the same as the ABCD Pattern, it’s just that there are 3 (three) legs with 2 (two) correction or retracement times.
If you see at a glance this indicator is almost similar to the elliot wave indicator that we have learned before 🙂 and the thing we need to prepare to determine this type of indicator is the Fibonacci tool and patience of course 🙂
If we observe the picture above then we can say that point A must be 61.8% retracement of drive 1 as well as point B which is the 61.8% retracement of drive 2.
Then drive 2 is equal to 1,272 extensions of the correction lines A and drive 3 is 1,272 extensions of the correction line B.
If we have found this indicator then the thing we need to do is wait for the right time to open a Short or Long position.
If we have waited and met with point B (Bearish or Bullish) then we can open a Short or Long position of 1.272 levels so as not to miss the profit train 🙂
And so we can be more sure about the Three-Drive Pattern indicator, the following rules can be used as a reference:
1. The time it takes the price to move to drive 2 must be the same as the time needed by the price to move to drive 3
2. Likewise, the correction time or retracement point A and B must be the same
Okay, here is a lesson about ABCD Pattern and Three-Drive Pattern, to find the next harmonic price pattern lesson. Good Luck to be a Forex Trader
